Desperadas (2008)
The story is about four beautiful half-sisters - Isabella, Courtney, Stephanie and Patricia - who have problems in their personal life. Isabella has issues with commitment, Stephanie is having problems with her husband Richard, Courtney's boyfriend Patrick becomes a Born again Christian and Patricia publishes her new sex book much to the dismay of her husband who's having trouble with their relationship as a couple.
My Only U (2008)
Bong (Vhong Navarro) does nothing but to save Winona (Toni Gonzaga), his best friend, whose family has curse of not living beyond the age of 25, from her brushes with death. He has always been in love with her, while Winona , on the other hand, has never entertained love in the past knowing she wouldn't live past 25 anyway. After Winona celebrates her 25th birthday, she and Bong find a second chance in life and love. However, Bong finds out that Winona's days are indeed still numbered. He struggles to keep this secret from her while still continuing to give her life. Meanwhile, Winona finds herself falling for her bestfriend. But how much are you willing to love if you know you will just lose it all in the end?
Dobol Trobol (2008)

The story of Ploning begins when a mysterious Taiwanese fisherman, Muo Sei, lands in the otherwise sleepytown of Cuyo, Palawan. When he arrives, he immediately looks for someone named "Ploning". It is later revealed that she had once loved a man named Tomas fourteen years ago. This man, however, left her for a better career in Manila and she was left heartbroken, waiting for him to return.

A drama that follows the travails of the Pineda family in the Filipino city of Angeles. At one time a prestige establishment, the theater now runs porn double bills and serves as a meeting ground for hustlers of every conceivable persuasion. The film captures the sordid, fetid atmosphere, interweaving various family subplots with the comings and goings of customers, thieves and even a runaway goat while enveloping the viewer in a maelstrom of sound, noise and continuous motion.

Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat (2008)
Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat (lit. The Only Mother to You All) is the sequel of Ang Tanging Ina (also known as ATINL). It was released on December 25, 2008 as Star Cinema's official entry to the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival. The film grossed a total of Php 197 million, until Star Cinema's You Changed My Life (recently became the "All Time Box Office Hit in the Philippines") beats it recently as of April 2009 with Php 229.96 Million pesos in total gross. Ai-Ai de las Alas reprises her role Ina Montecilio, Eugene Domingo as Rowena, Carlo Aquino as Tri, Alwyn Uytingco as Pip, Shaina Magdayao as Seven, Serena Dalrymple as Cate, Jiro Manio as Shammy and Yuuki Kadooka as Ten-Ten
A Very Special Love (2008)
The film was released on the 30th day of July 2008 and ran for eight weeks on cinemas in the Philippines. It was also released in the United States on August 15 of the same year.
When Love Begins (2008)
Benedicto "Ben" Caballero is an environmentalist who disapproves of deforestation for villages in mountainous regions in the country.He is more concerned of the environment than that of getting along with his siblings.It is revealed that he was a former lawyer and that he quit because of a matter between right or wrong,and not about winning or losing.He focuses on nature-for him,it's all about saving the planet.He visits Boracay and meets a Michelle "Mitch" Valmonte after an accident.Mitch is a carefree party girl who works for her father's company.She and Ben get to know each other and develop special interests for each other.
But making a relationship without any commitment is one problem they both have to deal with.It goes well at first,but the relationship ends because of its impossibilities.
Ben then discovers that Mitch's father owns the company that ordered the deforestation and construction of a new village in which he is against.This leads them separate ways and try to forget about their so called relationship.
But is this the end? Will Mitch and Ben face the trials of a relationship that will never happen?
Baler (2008)
Baler is a 2008 drama film and the official entry of VIVA Films in the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival, starring Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales. Its first screening was on December 25, 2008, simultaneously with the rest of the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival film entries.
In 1898, a band of Spanish soldiers heroically defended Baler (which was not yet the capital municipality of Aurora until 1951) against Filipino forces for 337 long and grueling days. The battle, now referred to as the Siege of Baler, is the setting of a forbidden love between a Mestizo soldier (Jericho Rosales) and a Filipina lass (Anne Curtis) who lived at the end of the 19th century.
My Best Friend's Girlfriend (2008)
After an awkward yet memorable encounter at a stag party, Evo (Richard Gutierrez) and Grace (Marian Rivera) thought they would never see each other again. Little did they know that Grace is actually the girlfriend of Evo's best friend, Mark (JC de Vera). As the arrogant player that he is, Evo takes advantage of what happened at the party to make Grace agree to his demands. Iskul Bukol 20 Years After (2008)
Vic Ungasis (Sotto) is an archaeologist who has recovered the Kali of Humabon and is looking for a partner sword, the Kampilan of Lapu-Lapu, plus the Peseta, one of Judas Iscariot's 30 pieces of silver which reportedly gives the bearer immortality. Upon returning home, he reunites with the Escalera brothers, who have become successful real-estate developers. However, a Yakuza who has acquired the Kampilan wants the Peseta so it could be merged with the sword for unmatched power.
Caregiver (2008)
The film is based on real-life stories of Filipino caregivers abroad. Director Roño searched for stories of their lives abroad and personally talked to some who shared their experiences. Roño has friends who work as caregivers; their real-life scenarios were directly depicted in the film. The cast includes British actors namely; Saul Reichlin, Matthew Rutherford, and Claire Jeater.
The rest of the film was shot in Roosevelt College Rodriguez. The scenes here include the part where Sarah was still studying as a caregiver student.
